Where Do Tote Bags Come From? 45 New Totally Spectacular Tote Bags at Zazzle

Some days, you tote the bag 👜 Some days, the bag totes you:

I got a tote-ally unexpected surprise when I woke up the other day and discovered someone purchased 45 tote bags from my Zazzle shop. HOE.LEE.KOW. 🐮

Needless to say, I tote-ally toted the bag that day. 👜

Tote-ally needful to say, though, is the biggest THANK YOU to the anonymous buyer for making this the largest tote bag order, and amount spent, in my shop ever; and for tote-ally making my jaw drop from the awesome shock! 😲

While I only design the tote bags from the comfort of my home, the real work of production and manufacturing occurs thousands of miles away from me on the opposite side of America, in Hendersonville, North Carolina, by a company that's been in business since 1932: Manual Woodworkers & Weavers. How awesome is that? Tote-ally awesome. 🎈

And it's Zazzle, in California, who serves as the hub that serendipitously brings us all together online for the sake of e-commerce around the world, which benefits me in Washington State, people in North Carolina, people in California, and everyone in between who becomes part of the process; all thanks to the buyer. 🎉

T H A N K   Y O U,   B U Y E R ! 💜 💛 💚

The occasion was so momentous that it inspired me to add more bags to my Zazzle shop. I didn't start out with the intention to add 45 new bags, but once I got up to 29 I figured why not go for it; so I went for it and wound up with 45 brand new totes to match the 45 that were sold. 😵

The tote bags that were purchased feature two designs of the Snellen eye chart. You know when you go to the eye doctor, that thing you read out loud with one eye covered for visual acuity, usually with a big E at the top; that was developed in 1862 and named after Dutch ophthalmologist Herman Snellen? You know, that thing. 👀

Even though there were only two designs on the bags that sold, the bags were ordered with different background colors. So, rather than create entirely new designs, I simply added 15 more color options for each of the two designs along with 15 bags toting a brand new design. 🎨

The first tote bag design is the classic Snellen eye chart; the second design is the eye chart with a cat-eye glasses background; and the brand new third design is a spectacular collage of cat-eye glasses with the back design turned 90 degrees. 👜

All tote bags feature the same design on both sides, making them doubly awesome; they are also available in multiple sizes and styles, and can only be found in my Prose & Pix gift shop at Zazzle. Scroll to the end to see all 45 tote bags ~ ThxXox! 🌈

The Problem With TCM's Closed Captions and How To Fix It (For DISH Customers!)

Captioning Service 1 is the DISH default; switching it to 0 (zero) works with TCM captions. I don't want my MTV any more, but I do want my captions, especially on TCM where old movies are full of fuzzy sounds, funny accents, and mumbling voices -- and thanks be to the stenographers who make it possible! However, the past few months TCM's captions have not been as consistent and it made me question if they stopped captions altogether since all the other channels still had captions. The good news is TCM didn't do away with captions, but the Captioning Service setting did change without any word given to DISH customers or TCM viewers, at least not to this one. Scroll to the end to read the solution for DISH customers, or keep reading for my rhetorical digression: Gee, if only there was a way to inform paying customers of changes like this? For all the useless information TCM hosts spew, they could at least give some useful information since their captions are th...

Kinky Kicks, Disgraceful Dames, & Hollywood Hypocrisy! My 10-star Movie Review of 'Smarty' from 1934

My 10-star review on IMDb.com of ‘Smarty’ from 1934 , starring Joan Blondell, Warren William, Edward Everett Horton, Frank McHugh, and Claire Dodd:  Kinky Kicks, Disgraceful Dames, & Hollywood Hypocrisy! Marriage and divorce lawyers take a bigger beating in this movie than Joan Blondell does, and if a single slap on the face equates to domestic violence then people don't know what domestic violence really is! There is more violence against women in modern movies than there is in this film, yet people are now programmed to believe that it's acceptable for women to get beaten so long as it isn't by their husbands! Please, go sit through 'True Romance' and watch Patricia Arquette take a bloody beating from James Gandolfini if you think 'Smarty' is violence against women. Even 'Goodfellas' has more marital violence, yet both AMC & IFC can't stop showing it which tells me that reckless violence against women is the status quo per th...

Marriage is Hell and Love is a Battlefield: What You Don’t Know About Marriage If You Haven’t Been Married

Q: What is marriage? A: Marriage is like the U.S. Marines -- it's not a rose garden! If Harry & Sally had an awkward multi-year courtship on the way to the altar, I would say that my husband and I had a completely catastrophic 19-year courtship on the way to the courthouse.    As of this writing, it is now the 21 st anniversary of the beginning of our long and unconventional relationship, which started with a chance meeting on Valentine’s night in 1999; and our two-year marriage anniversary is still a couple months away which took place on a Friday the 13 th in 2018 -- unconventional is putting it mildly! In fact, I’ve now known my husband for over half of my life and it didn’t happen without overcoming a lot of issues that rip many couples apart -- the funny thing is that we dealt with most of those issues before we ever got married, LOL! Needless to say, I put my time and tears into our relationship, and I totally earned the title of Wife just l...
